The Painted Piano

Thanks to the sporting generosity of St Mary's Music School, Edinburgh, the artist had at his disposal a 1935 Foerster grand piano on which he painted a fantasy incorporating Nice & the Baie des Anges, a sunrise over the sea, and a yellow sports car complete with dashboard & headlamps as if hurtling round the bay...

The Painted Piano then became the centrepiece of a concert on 19th June entitled A Midsummer Night's Dram...
